yup, there's not a beef in this yummy burger. i made this back when i was strict about following a diet plan. the self-imposed diet included not a tad of meat. back when i had my full blown symptoms, i read from various accounts that ditching red meat helps in managing the pain symptoms of adenomyosis. as mentioned in old posts that one of the symptoms of adenomyosis is major cramping. it is said that eating red meat causes more pain symptoms as red meat is known to promote pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. currently, i am back to eating meat, but i keep the red meats to a minimum (generally, smaller than a fist size in a given meal). so far, i've not had major cramping even if i'm bleeding. this could only be circumstantial, but hey, it's worth a try if you really want to manage your symptoms while waiting for menopause to hit, or if you hadn't had your uterus removed through a hysterectomy.
above burger, is actually a black bean burger - the recipe of which was gotten from a friend, HERE, who also got it somewhere, hehe... it is actually truly delicious. you should try making some.
happy cooking!
